Body Armor Helmet and Plates

The second best-selling product, influenced by the conflict in Ukraine, is the body armor helmet and armor plates, or Hard Armor.

The EnGarde TUFF-PRO-LW™ series of ballistic armor is made from pressed Dyneema®, creating a durable and very lightweight Level III solution. The positive buoyancy of TUFF-PRO-LW™ plates also allows them to be used in aquatic environments. A single TUFF-PRO-LW™ plate weighs only 1.25 kg (2.7 pounds).

It should be noted that the main difference between Level III and Level IV armor plates is that Level IV plates stop armor-piercing bullets. Level III armor plates are not designed for armor-piercing ammunition. To stop armor-piercing bullets, ceramic or metal is used in the plate construction. Thus, Level IV plates are heavier than Level III plates, and trading Level IV+ ballistic products requires a special permit.
