ACT Bandage™ 15 cm – Active Compression Bandage with Wound Packing Module
\nACT Bandage™ 15 cm is a next-generation compression bandage designed for massive hemorrhage control, large and irregular wounds, and situations requiring a larger compression area. It combines classic mechanical compression with active compression, a segmented absorbent pad, and an integrated wound packing module.
\nThis solution was created for real-world tactical, rescue, and pre-hospital medical situations where time, visibility, and precision are often limited.
\nInternational Patent Pending – PCT/PL2025/050060

ACT – Active Compression Treatment
\nACT stands for Active Compression Treatment – an active compression system designed for effective hemorrhage control in real-world conditions.
\nUnlike traditional compression bandages, the ACT Bandage™ uses:
\n\n- \n
- immediate mechanical pressure \n
- active compression that increases upon contact with blood \n
- a segmented absorbent and compression pad \n
- an integrated wound packing module \n
The name ACT also serves as an operational signal – ACT! In critical situations, reaction speed is more important than ideal conditions.

Designed in Poland for real-world operations
\nThe ACT Bandage™ was designed in Poland at the Medical University of Lodz in collaboration with JB Tacticals, combining:
\n\n- \n
- emergency medical experience \n
- tactical medical practice \n
- observations from rescue operations \n
- functional engineering \n
The solution was authored by Filip Jaśkiewicz, MD, PhD – a paramedic with 18 years of experience in pre-hospital emergency care and tactical medicine.

A new architecture for hemorrhage control
\nClassic compression bandages typically use a single absorbent pad and point pressure. The ACT Bandage™ 15 cm utilizes a segmented compression system with an expanded area of effect.
\nUpon contact with blood, the compression elements increase in volume while maintaining stiffness, thereby increasing mechanical pressure over time.
\n\n\n\n\n
What does the 15 cm version provide?
\n- \n
- A larger active compression area \n
- 15 × 13 cm absorbent and compression pad \n
- 6 active compression inserts (3 × 2 configuration) \n
- More uniform pressure distribution \n
- More effective coverage of large and irregular wounds \n
- Support for injuries with multiple bleeding points \n
\n\n
Segmented design for complex injuries
\nThe ACT Bandage™ uses a segmented design that allows the bandage to adapt to complex anatomical areas:
\n\n- \n
- groin \n
- armpits \n
- neck area \n
- junctional points \n
- irregular and extensive injuries \n
This significantly improves mechanical compression in areas where traditional solutions often lose effectiveness.
\n\n\n\n\n
Integrated wound packing module
\nThe ACT Bandage™ 15 cm includes an integrated wound packing module with 8 active compression inserts.
\nIt allows you to:
\n\n- \n
- quickly fill deep wounds \n
- perform mechanical tamponade \n
- increase contact surface within the wound \n
- also use the module as additional point compression \n
The segmented structure allows for better adaptation to the wound canal.
\n\n\n\n\n
Designed for use under pressure
\nThe ACT Bandage™ is created for use in situations with:
\n\n- \n
- limited visibility \n
- high stress \n
- time pressure \n
- movement \n
- complex injuries \n
- limited medical experience \n
The design minimizes the possibility of errors and facilitates application even for non-professional users.
\nThe Velcro system helps generate sufficient compression force, and the starting loop stabilizes the first turn of the bandage.
\nEven in the case of incorrect application, the rigid compression elements are still able to produce significant mechanical pressure.
\n\n\n\n\n
Compliance with TCCC / MARCH logic
\nThe ACT Bandage™ design adheres to the MARCH and TCCC approach, where the priority is:
\n\n- \n
- rapid massive hemorrhage control \n
- minimal decision-making \n
- immediate continuation of action \n
\n\n
