A tactical weapon sling is not just an accessory – it is an essential piece of equipment that allows for carrying a weapon over long distances, freeing up the operator's hands and enabling readiness for combat at any moment.
During military operations, a weapon sling plays a critical role – when every second counts, quick access to and security of the weapon can save both your life and your comrades'. The need to acquire a tactical sling arises for anyone who regularly operates a weapon – whether it's a police officer, security guard, hunter, airsoft player, or soldier.
Additional support is also felt during shooting – regardless of the shooter's skill level, a weapon sling helps improve shooting accuracy by using it as an additional leverage point for weapon stabilization, and also allows the weapon to be carried safely and comfortably, reducing strain on the arms.
In the MilCamp online store, you will find a wide selection of weapon slings, including models produced at the RAGNAROK factory in Ukraine – suitable for every need and budget, while ensuring high product quality.
How to choose a tactical weapon sling
To choose the most suitable model, you need to know what to pay attention to:
- Material: A tactical sling must be durable. The best slings are made from synthetic materials – nylon, Cordura, or polyamide. All Ragnarok brand slings are made from braided polyamide fabric, which stands out for its exceptional durability and longevity – MilCamp calls this sling "everlasting" and provides a lifetime warranty for it.
- Size and width: Before purchasing, you should check the adjustment options, loop type, shoulder padding width, and material. Too stiff materials can cause chafing, especially during prolonged use – ideally, the shoulder padding should be at least 10 cm wide with soft padding to reduce friction. The length of the sling should also be considered, as a sling that is too short can cause discomfort.
- Attachments: A weapon sling must be equipped with secure attachments. Ragnarok slings use corrosion-resistant metal carabiner hooks with a black coating that prevents glare, as well as acetal buckles, widely used in engineering due to their high strength – a 25 mm wide buckle can withstand a load of over 130 kg.
